Conservation Easement Valuations

A Conservation Easement is an encumbrance which creates a legally enforceable land preservation agreement between a landowner and a government agency or a qualified land protection organization for the purposes of conservation.  It restricts real estate development, commercial and industrial uses, and certain other activities on a property to a mutually agreed upon level.  The property remains privately owned by the landowner.

Since January 2000, Peterson Appraisal Company has performed over 600 Conservation Easement appraisals in Colorado, Nebraska, Oklahoma, and Wyoming.  Our appraisers are highly respected by the land trust organization and conservancies for our thorough work on complicated assignments.
